Personal Bits
Hi, I’m Tracy Cheung.
My journey into therapy was not a straight line, but a path shaped by my own experiences with chaos and clarity. I have navigated the profound pain of losing loved ones, the uncertainty of career changes, and the complexities of relationships. Throughout it all, a constant thread has been my passion for guiding others as they seek to master their own minds, strengths, and well-being.
My life has been a global adventure—from Bangkok to Hong Kong, then to Atlanta, New York, Beijing, and Shanghai, before finally returning home. This path introduced me to incredible people from all walks of life, deepening my fascination with human behavior and reinforcing my drive to help others find their voice and grow.
But this journey was not without its struggles. Growing up as a third-culture child with strict immigrant parents, I learned to tie my self-worth to my achievements. I know intimately what it’s like to look outward for validation—to feel the constant pressure to be "enough," a burden many women carry. This drive fueled a successful 16-year corporate career where I empowered others, but eventually, the very hustle that defined me led to my own burnout, anxiety, and exhaustion.
In 2016, my mental and physical health reached a pivotal turning point. This led me to professional training in yoga, meditation, and ultimately, psychotherapy—a journey that sparked a profound personal shift. I came to a vital realization: that being kind to your mind is not a luxury, but the essential foundation of a life well-lived.
Now, as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Therapist, my mission is to be a steady and warm presence for those feeling lost, overwhelmed, or without hope. I am here to hold space for your story and to empower you—especially women—to become the most aligned version of yourselves. Together, we will explore new perspectives, find your authentic voice, and create a life that feels truly and fully your own.
